Blue bird morning headed in from Frenchmans cove water line. Drove in on sled to bottom of the bowl. Lots of snowmobiles high marking to the lookers right. No sign of slab avalanches. Doug a pit and on the NE aspect on a 25 degree slope. Wind SW 30 to 50km Temp -3 sunny with light cloud Total snowpack 230cm to ground . Surface laver down 50cm soft snow and there was a light ice crust layer. Finger penetration was easy to moderate pressure from surface down to 115cm. heavy ice layer 2 inch thick and under was old corn snow. shovel sheer test slid on all 50cm layer with mod to firm pressure and again on 115 cm layer of ice . Skinned up the ridge and rode a line above the pit. Great snow very stable.
