Snowpack
Snowpack is faceting quickly. It is really thin below treeline in this area and it is hard to move around due to the coverage. The snow is cohesionless below treeline on shady slopes. Near treeline the snowpack gradually becomes supportable with some impenetrable surfaces near ridgetop. In general this northern part of the Sawatch zone is thinner and more faceted with fewer connected slabs than southern areas of the zone. Northeast facing, near treeline slopes have continuous coverage, but there isn't much of a cohesive slab.--- Today I only got one small collapse on a small northerly terrain feature.
Avalanche
One small, old avalanche observed.
