Snowpack

From TH-->NTL/ATL interface, traveled SE/S/SW aspect slopes with variable depth and surface conditions. Experience localized cracking and collapsing around skiiers with scary remote, rumbling collapses from NTL onward. ATL- Avg HS- 40 cm. Note- Highly variable surface conditions and evidence of wind, mud and snowslides across the W and SW aspects in the upper bowl. Many deep, wind loaded features harboring overhanging danger. Cross loaded fins, perched above shallow, wind scabbed gullies, all welded to dirt. The orographic evidence in this location is impressive. Beefy wind slab atop decomposing facets and hoar to the ground
