Warm temperatures and sunny skies.

Snowpack

Near treeline, the snowpack is 40 to 50 cm's of 2-4mm non-cohesive facets, boot and ski penetration is to the ground. Supportive, non reactive wind slabs topped with surface facets remain on easterly-facing slopes above treeline with most westerly-facing slopes stripped by wind and sun.

Avalanche

Multiple wind slab avalanches above treeline on east and northeast facing slopes. These are old, at least 10 days and crowns have softened.
