Avalanche

Several recent slab avalanches on wind-loaded slopes that all likely failed from cornice falls. It was easy to trigger shooting cracks on wind-loaded pockets but the wind-loading patterns were sporadic with very few continuous wind slabs capable of producing a D2 avalanche. It was easy to trigger long-running Loose Wet avalanches below about 9000 feet on top of slopes with a crust below the new snow.
