Weather

Light snow and graybird. Light winds below treeline.

Snowpack

The general impression of the snowpack in the Ledges is that it is very weak, but little slab in the upper start zone areas, but large grain facets and depth hoar above the ground. Test results were not to exciting with CT 16, CT 17 and ECTN20. All failing on a buried crust over weak snow above the ground. With an 1" of h2o we will need to do some mitigation in this area. The snow that is falling is very low density. Isolated cracking and collapsing.

Avalanche

Only a few very small Loose Dry avalanches observed near the highway corridor today and no avalanches on our tour.
