Weather

Cool and sunny with a few errant low clouds.

Snowpack

Overall the snowpack is thinner in this area than other parts of the zone. Snowfall since Christmas added ~20" new and greatly improved coverage. New snow was low density and is settling fast (6" settlement in last 24 hrs). No signs of instability observed today. Snow noticeably more wind affected near and above tl. A thin wind skin on the snow surface in open areas below tl as well. Breakable wind slabs up to 3" thick above tl- likely thicker along and below ridgelines.

Avalanche

Very little action considering the 2" of snow water equivalent we received in the last storms.
