Snowpack

Attached two full pit profiles from 12\22 and 12/23. Silverton Avalanche School Pro1 course in Ophir. Due to our group size and course objectives our travel was limited to BTL. Given the incoming wallop of moisture/ uptick in danger, I suspect thar many parties might be seeking BTL skiing on deeper aspects (NW-E) tomorrow and might find this data useful. Most notable recent change was that warm weather wednesday evening resulted in notable snowpack metamorphism (rounding facets and moist surface snow), even on polar aspects. Overall weak snow structure still exist, but moist surface snow should create a favorable interface for storm slab instabilities if less than 1" of SWE falls in next 24 hours. Stay safe everybody and Happy Holidays.
