Above freezing temperatures at 12,000 ft. by 1:00 P.M. Calm winds with light gusts from the west and mostly clear skies.

Snowpack

Thin and discontinuous snow coverage except for wind-loaded terrain features and north and northeast aspects near and above tree line. A snowpit on a northeast aspect at 11,800 feet showed a thin 1F hardness slab on top of buried near-surface facets and large facets at the base of the snowpack. ECT results showed a failure but no propagation on the buried near-surface facets and failure with propagation within the basal facets.
