Weather

Started at 15F, rose to about 20F and dropped again around lunchtime. Winds were steady around 10-15mph all day. some wind transport on the continental divide ridge early in the day.

Snowpack

South facing terrain was crusted from yesterday, sitting above 4-6" of settled snow from last Saturday. Crust was skiable up high, breakable and torturous around 10K' and totally supportable around 9K'. Never softened until 8,500' in early afternoon. This was all on top of 8-12" of supportable snowpack. Cornices are getting pretty big (especially the NE facing ones) and showing signs of starting to break pieces off from warm days. Didn't dig into the N facing snowpack today.
