Weather

Scattered clouds at 2:00 turned to mostly cloudy by 4:30. Winds were affecting the snow surface below treeline on southeast aspects with light transport. Temps were cool.

Snowpack

Below treeline, a light, non-contiguous, melt freeze crust from the previous warm days was only found on south and southeast and did not occur as I traveled more easterly. The middle 40 cm of the snowpack was supportive and unreactive to stability tests. The bottom 55 cm of facets and depth hoar failed at PST 27/100 to the end.
