Snowpack
We found 12cm of light fluffy snow on top of a crust at 10,800' in Sam's trees. We also conducted a hasty pit at 11,600'. See snowpit profile.
Avalanche
There were several old avalanches in Sam's trees, a D1.5 on a NW facing slope at about 11,000' and a D1 off the top ridge of Sam's. These appeared to have slid in the top layer of snow and did not step down and probably ran early this week. We got a small collapse on our 2nd lap ~1pm on an ESE facing aspect, treed, at 11,100'. We did not see any movement as a result of this collapse, nor shooting cracks.
