Cool, calm, with clouds in an out all day.

Snowpack

Approximately 2 feet of recent storm snow since Fri Feb 12. The bottom of the storm snow is dense and supportable, with around 10 inches of soft low-density snow on top. Soft wind-drifted slabs would crack around skis breaking trail but mainly confined to right near ridgetop, though we did not get above 11,300 feet.

Avalanche

Widespread evidence of solid avalanche cycle over the weekend. The previously reported Mud Gulch avalanche failed in what looks like a single large avalanche taking out everything from Marble Chutes, the Fridge wall to wall and into Mud Gulch. I have not seen an avalanche span this entire terrain feature before. Additional natural avalanches on the Blob, in Little Hokkaido area in north Anthracite Creek, and previously reported slides in the Alleys on east side of Raspberry Ridge.
