over 50cm of powder sits on a previous bed surface and shows considerable potential for lateral propagation of cracks, moderate cohesion, and potential to slide wherever it becomes unsupported. This class 1.5 avalanche on NNE aspect occured after the first skier descended, his track causing the steeper slope above to become unsupported, and the second skiers first turn triggered a crack that propagated more than 30 ft. No one was injured and we continued to ski mellower supported slopes without event.
