Hiked with trail runners snow free until Taylor meadows. Skinned on thick ice crust to the base of the east knob where snow started to soften. Lots of pow in the mellow slopes, sheltered from winds. Not low density but also not super wet. Alpine was wind scoured but mostly filled in.
