Relatively busy day (5 groups) on the FHR circuit with folks trying to get a last kick at it before the big warm up. Quick travel but not quick enough for us; we backed off the south slope to gain the Robertson-Sir Douglas Col. Moist snow in the top 3 cm by 12:30pm and numerous Na point release out of steep solar. Dug by the windlip on the Haig around 2760m in flat terrain at 12:30pm. Temp was -3 in the shade and T10 was -1.5 deg C. Results were: CTM(12) SP down 35 and SC down 50 failing on the same loading step. 15cm (Fist) recent HST overlies a hard (pencil) 20cm WSL. The failure plane down 50 was 1F+ above and 4F Facets below. Skiing out through French Creek we observed a thorough shedding of mostly anything solar that tilted over 35 deg to size 2.5. -14deg C to start the day and +6deg C to finish.
