3rd day of high pressure after storm cycle w/ very cold mornings (-0's) and inversion, rapidly warming by noon to mid 20's.
Snowpack
Left the top of Beaver Creek, observed numerous collapses in meadows on the way to treeline. 1-2 feet of consolidated soft snow overtop of weak base. Unsupportable in some places, sinking through the new snow to base, very supportable elsewhere, with only 2-3 inches of ski penetration. Above treeline, highly variable. wind affected and stripped on NW aspects, loaded with localized wind slabs and large propogating collapses on loaded NE-E-SE apsects. Cornices over Grouse Creek getting very stiff.
