Weather
Wx: intermittent overcast skies with short periods of sun breaking through, below zero @ the trailhead and warming throughout the day. High teens when we returned to the car.
Snowpack
Snowpack: our group toured to the top of schuylkill ridge, going as far north as yogis for a look into the northerly shots. Most of these slopes were marked with old crowns that had been buried by the most recent storm cycle, or by evidence of old debris near the crowns. We skied a n/ne shot keeping close to the trees, with slope starting at about 35deg and going down from there. There were at least 2 old tracks (a number of days old) where we skied. There did not appear to be much new snow (an inch maybe) from last night's anticipated storm. Avi activity: our group skied through at least two significant crowns on the ski down. Those crowns did not appear to be recent, but rather from the prior storm cycle. There was no collapsing, cracking or other avi activity noted. We did notice a large debris field at the bottom of the slope we skied, presumed to be from the earlier storm cycle producing the crowns we noted on the way down
