Snowpack

Stable on the mining road. As soon as we stepped off the road to skin up, we caused the snow pack to collapse on a flat area, and a crack propagated 75+ feet causing a series of cracks on a 35 degree slope , approx. 30 feet above us on a convex tailings pile, all the way to the ground. We avoided this, climbed above, and caused the snow to settle on a flat spot which caused another crack to propagate on a 25-30 degree slope above us as far as we could see. Turned around and went home.
