Snowpack

Recent snow is breaking on the ice layer and moving fast even in lower angle terrain. It is not stepping down into the persistent layer which is 10 to 30 cm from ground. We had 2 inches at 5%, on top of crust. Warm today and a little bonding to that layer with the new snow. It is not really breaking down in the north and east aspects. Still approx. 1/2 inch thick. Facet growth is occurring underneath that ice layer!
