Bluebird, SW wind transporting snow Homestake Peak 13,209 ft East facing slope

Snowpack

6 inches of fresh wind deposited snow lying on a weak layer. Well bonded snow below that. Opted not to ski the East face due to the wind loading at the top and the slope angle. The East ridge dropping onto the North facing mellow slopes was a great ski.
