Snowpack

Recent north/northeasterly winds have moved low-density new snow around a bit in the alpine zone. The snowpack remains quite variable near and above treeline. Some areas are very thin and purely faceted, while others have several layers of windslab, with weak snow in between. Surfaces are quite variable as well: from nice soft riffle to breakable windboard to supportable windslab. The stiffest windslabs are not widespread, but more pockety in nature- not large expanses of hard slab.
