Weather
Windy in open areas, blowing swirls and snowing heavily (at 10-11,000', flurries all the way up canyon) snowing most of the afternoon, parking lots drifted in a foot deep and 8 inches new most places in the trees, more in places, snow was not extremely heavy, crusty snow underneath the new in most places, but sticky in areas with soft base, slower to ski. Folks who stayed on the west side of the pass said had to dig out several cars with 12-18" new this am on the dirt roads.
Snowpack
No pit, visibility was ok at times and we didn't see avalanche activity on the face, although it was mostly in high clouds or snowy. Not really woomf/collapsing, new snow was settling underfoot in untracked areas
