Snowpack

Sunny, strong solar radiation, gusty N winds at ridgetop keeping thing cool. Found intensely wind affected snow with big whales and hard surface wind slabs and crusts on SW/W aspects. Crown of 4th bowl slide was deep, measuring 12"-16" at initial fracture and then stepped down another 12"-16". Windloaded above with P+ hard slab above where fractured. Thick, dense, dry powder on sheltered Northerlies Skied West Bowl, good soft wind affected powder, with some wind crusts and wind slabs lower down. North ridge next to skin track down was good supportive thick powder skiing...didnt even look into 1st or 2nd bowl. Lots of wind scouring and hammering down low on aprons below most of Axtell N facing terrain.
