Snowpack

Dug on a north aspect below TL. 175cm deep, 40 cm new snow (last two storms), 65cm mid pack slab 4F+ to 1F sitting on top of 70cm facets. I got easy Q2-3 shears on new snow/slab interface and then no failures below that until I wailed on column fairly hard (after my 30 taps) and it broke in facets. The interface in the new snow/old snow boundary should settle out I would believe. This was only one pit, but it certainly showed some strengthening on that aspect below TL
