Snowpack

Dug a quick Pit at 11,800 on Uneva but south west facing 222 degrees. 82 cm depth, 30 cm storm slab on top, 32 cm rounded grains, 20 cm faceted near ground. ECTX but still worried about the facets near ground on other aspects

Avalanche

East aspect of Wingle Ridge above Shrine bowl/meadow, approx. 11,800 ft., Viewed from Uneva with binoculars, Snow machine high mark tracks just north of slide, visible cornice above, suspect wind slab but large crown and looks like it stepped to ground.
