Overcast skies, S1 in am increasing to S2 in afternoon. Calm winds in am rising to moderate northwest winds in pm.

Snowpack

Pit 1 - 9600ft N facing opening in trees. HS 190. Surface hoar 115cm CTE SC, ECTP 8. Surface hoar 130cm CTE SC, ECTP 8. CTE RP 180cm under rain crust from last night. Pit 2 - 9600 ft N facing opening in trees. HS 169cm. Similar results to Pit 1. 2 large collapses observed on N facing terrain BTL.

Old crowns from 1/6 cycle widespread on steep north facing terrain.
