Stepped off skin track to dig a pit on a sheltered 35 degree NNE test slope...the first step yielded a large whooomph and collapsing, with a crack shooting out 10 feet in diameter around me... snow pit tests provided the same information, with a CT12 and ECT11 failing on the 3mm facets at about 10CM
