Snowpack

Went for a tour in James Peak Wilderness yesterday. Saw no avalanches, no whumpfing, no shooting cracks/fractures. Quick test pit at 10800 on SE aspect was a couple feet of snow on dirt, new snow was on crust layer which was on -F layer of facets. Snowed the whole time, and never got above 0C. Below 9,800 snow coverage was too thin to risk hitting any land mines, so skied the trail out.
