A Colorado day for the record books. Blue sky, very light W winds and mostly warm temperatures.
Snowpack
A couple of thoughts here...it looks good but I do not trust hard slabs and buried persistent weak layers. Just below tree line, HS=215 cm's. Wide spread newly formed surface hoar, all aspects and elevations. Surface snow below and near tree line is settling well. Below surface snow, dense layering with several thin persistent weak layers (PWL's) including old surface facets and surface hoar. ECT test revealed full propagation and a step down of PWL 50 cm's below the surface on N'ly aspects near TL.
