Sunny cool day in the San Juan's. Light winds were observed keeping things cool at higher elevations.

Snowpack

The snow surface seemed to change from aspect to aspect and at all elevations. Winds kept things cool at higher elevations. The only slopes up high that delivered soft corn like snow received ample sunshine and had a dust layer on the surface. Sastrugi was observed for miles. The lower in elevation you went the more likely to encounter a zipper crust in areas that had warmed previously. S facing slopes had nice corn snow and dry snow was found on N aspects in protected areas.
