Snowpack

The snowpack on Nerly aspects is suspect with several very weak buried faceted layers. One layer is near the surface and the other around mid-pack. The mid-pack layer produced moderate Compression Test results. This structure was found in pits on NE-N-NW aspects near TL. Below TL on a N aspect moderate Compression Test failures were found at the ground in a completely faceted snowpack. The pack was less supportable below TL. E aspects near TL appear to be more solid.
