Toured in upper Wood Creek and Herman Gulch from 10,500 to 13,000 feet. Snowpack frozen in the AM but warmed rapidly and was slushy and moist by 11 AM at 12,000 feet Southeast aspect with air temps in the 40s. Loose wet and point release avalanches on rocky slopes. Photos are the Citadel and the cirque at the head of Wood Creek drainage. Snow surface above 12,000 feet in the early morning was frozen. Aspect: E Elevation: Above treeline
