Grand Daddy - variable snow with cornice failure

Solar punch was huge. Solar changing conditions in less then 10 minutes. Variable conditions from soft fresh snow to visible ice in the same turn. Backed off line at 3/4 of way up due to large cornice failure. Pooped our pants as cornice failed on adjacent coulior at around 825am. Better to drink beer then worry about the other bus size cornice above our head in the sun. There is still a large cornice at the lookers right of the Y close to the top of the coulior that sits in the sun first thing

Witnessed cornice failure at 830am after about 15 minutes of intense sun exposure. Uv index would be very high
