-
Both of us skinning up on a shoulder to access sparse tree run at 2250m. Walked from a SW aspect to a NE aspect, with burned trees. Heard a humongous whumph. First climber triggered a slab avalanche. Both got caught and went for a ride between 50 and 100 m through sparse trees. 1 skier got buried to waist. Other skier got buried to shoulder against a tree. Both dug themselves out and skied out, no major injuries, only a few bruises. Depth of crown: 30 cm to 100 cm Width: 100 m Lenght: 350 m Size: 2,5 Dug a profile during the day and got confident since it was our 2nd run. No signs of instability before that event. Play safe out there, tricky conditions.
