Great first day of the season at gin. About 20 other people out, most stayed on the slopes above hanging lake. There were snowmobiles heard in the distance and a couple tracks across and above hanging lake but thankfully none up gin. We rode both N and W sides of gin down to rainbow lake. Powder was deep but not blower. Lots of line choices and pillows available. Temps were around -5. Exit was harrowing but was able to ski down to 1000m before boot packing the rest. No avalanches observed or visible.
