Today, we took our first trip to Mt Cain in 2025. Skies were overcast, and winds were light out of the northwest. During last nights storm, rain turned to snow and deposited 10-15 cm of dry pow on top the rain soaked surface. We noted light to moderate wind transport of the new snow, but no slab properties or cracks under our skis. Our turns in low angle terrain were quite pleasant. The storm seemed to be coming to a conclusion as we made our way down the mountain. Should be a great weekend up there!
