Lodgepole Lake

Great skiing initially ....(until 1pm, 2pm) in nice 25cm ski-penetration pow then, significant warming + light rain, zero degrees at 1900m By 4pm top 10cm of snow was saturated... super heavy, slow, yikes. Proper raining at km42.5 (at 1650m) Significant SW wind roaring at ridgeline .... huge cornices continue to develop. No avalanche activity observed (apart from tasty cinnamon-bun rollerballs everywhere) ...... third pic shows my partner continuing to develop interest in one-antlered moose on the road :-)
