One party member dropped a ski down the steeper E aspect of ridge, which was wind loaded. I made the mistake of chasing it without fully assessing the slope. Slab gave way under me, carrying me 10m before I hit a tree with my feet and was able to self arrest. Slide ran 100m and fanned out to 150m wide. Very lucky to have avoided being carried into bigger trees below at higher speed.
