Surface Conditions

variable

5cm of low density snow with surface hoar and facets is found in sheltered locations. Below this a crust which is found at all elevations skied and is supportive to ski but not to foot penetration. Variable, moderate winds moving low density surface snow in all wind exposed areas and exposing crust. Facetting has begun below the surface crust and another crust about 15cm down.
