North east aspect, 20 degree slope, roughly 1250 m elevation. 15-20 cm melt freeze crust on surface supported by 130cm consolidated snow pack. 10cm faceted snow at base (ground). No reaction on compression test despite our best efforts. No reaction on ski cut test on steeper slope earlier in the morning. Snow is very hard, not good riding. Beware random doggo encounters while digging test pits.
