Snowpack

northern third of compass stayed cold and dry, all other aspects very affected by solar. hs 9000ft on nnw aspect 150cm. pole probing showed mostly right side up snowpack with exception of very bottom, probably d.h. some of the most well developed s.h. i've ever seen on n aspects, grains up to 3cm! layer of s.h. in very sheltered areas may survive >9000ft , and it's around 10cm thick. moderate collapsing in one open meadow near 9200ft on n aspect. not sure what caused it, skiing was too good to stop and find out.
