Weather
Scattered clouds in AM, overcast by 1300. Cold with moderate winds from NE, moderate blowing snow and saltation.
Snowpack
Highly variable, mostly concerning near treeline. We did not travel above treeline.
Avalanche
We observed a D2 storm slab avalanche in the first major path on the NW face of Red Mountain 1, closest to the highway. The eastern portion of the start zone slid prior to today. Could not see the crown, it was behind a rock outcropping. Size and type of avalanche guessed from debris.
