Weather
Sun and warm temperatures continue to settle the upper snowpack and form crusts on south and west aspects near and below treeline.
Snowpack
Winds have compacted the surface snow near and above treeline in open areas with shallow wind slabs on leeward slopes. Below treeline basel facets continue to make a "punchy" feel in some areas, though the recent snow is supporting the weight of a skier in most places.
