Snowpack
New snow has settled and consolidated into a bit of a slab. Below treeline this rests over a weak faceted base which has continued to produce cracks, whumphs and small avalanches in small terrain where there has been no traffic. At TL there is the same new snow "slab" with a rime crust below and another 1F slab resting over weak crusts at the top of the facet layer. Above treeline on Westerly aspects there is only the new snow. On loaded SE slopes above TL there is new snow bonded well to the rime crust below over similar crust facet combinations.
