Weather

Much warmer up on the pass than in the Valley (20F difference/inversion). Nice calm, clear day at ridge top ~11900 feet.

Snowpack

Small (1-3mm) surface hoar below and near treeline south to west aspects.Below treeline has stiffened with addition of 3+ inches SWE in Christmas storm, and is now very supportive to skis. No cracking or collapsing noted, with the exception of local cracks around skis when travelling across wind drifts 20cm-1m thick above treeline.

Avalanche

Three avalanches noted estimated ran 12/24/2015. North west through east slopes near treeline.
