Avalanche

Three members in party, intended on riding the far skiers left aspect of the chute. One party member ended up too low to make it to intended rout. Another party member with a better vantage point advised to drop down further in order to get to the Skier's left aspect. When crossing the lower steeper aspect a slide with 2-3 ft crown at least 50 feet wide ran 100-150 feet. The slide released 5-10 feet above the skier but he was not caught.
