Weather

Northeast wind was bannering off of the alpine this morning. Winds were transporting snow at and below treeline during the morning hours. Temperatures might not have made it to forecasted highs due to the wind.

Snowpack

Southerly aspects were between 1 to 2 feet deep with multiple 3-5 cm crust layers. Above treeline northeast facing coulior was wind effected from recent wind. This slab was confined to a narrow terrain feature and 4 to 8 inches thick. Above treeline east northeast facing "apron" was not as wind effected with slight rippling and no slab on the surface. Near and below treeline north and northeast aspects are entirely faceted and cohesion less.
