Snowpack

On all aspects that I dug on, East-South-North, it is the same situation discussed many times this season. All types and sizes of facets sandwiched between either thin wind slabs or m/f crusts on sunny aspects. The surface on easterly and northerly aspects (the only ones I checked) had small-1mm surface hoar. Ultimately, we do not have a good scenario for much of a new snow load. There will be widespread avalanching if the forecast verifies.
