Beautiful spring day. Light winds out of the North. Temperatures rose quickly as the solar radiation warmed me and the snowpack.
Snowpack
Strong Solar and warm temperatures are quickly settling out this weeks storm snow. The snowpack is getting moist on all aspects near and below treeline and all but North facing slopes above. Long point release Loose Wet avalanches were observed. Size ranged from small to large. Warming snow is running on the bed surface that developed prior to the storm. That surface is a mf crust that is colored brown from a recent dust layer.
Avalanche
Multiple Point release avalanches observed thought the morning. These were observed on most slopes. Some looked to be from yesterday, but new ones were starting as the sun warmed the pack.
